OK feel I need to get on with some serious blogging as I’m getting to far behind so here I’ am “Mr Sadurday nite” yes thats right SADurday nite and welcome to my madhouse, a screaming baby and a very loud toddler wanting to play my computer games and one mad hound stoating round the house looking for dropped food lol. Well I’m blogging for a reason tonight and its to write about another new piece which is our personalised silver rings bracelet. Our other rings bracelet with the gold and silver rings has been a great success but we had quite a few enquiries about an all silver one as not everyone likes gold. I had planed to put both bracelets on at the same time but due to lack of time, yes I know someone get the violins out! lol and lack of certain stock items I couldn’t get it on until now.
Somethings you really do like to make and I love making this bracelet, its just so unique and something different to all the other bracelets out there that just look so similar to each other. I have added one new finding which I will add to the other bracelet which is the charm holder which looks fantastic on this bracelet and to me just completes it. I couldn’t believe how hard it was to find a charm holder, I did plan to use this in the original design but just couldn’t get my hands on one. If I wasn’t a bloke I would love to wear this but people might think I’m a big girls blouse as they say which there’s nothing wrong with but I have a reputation to pretend to have lol. Will have to look into designing a manly version! OK back onto the subject matter. The good thing I like about this bracelet is the person detail you can have on it, A name of a loved one or a special date in time that means so much. My favourite is inspirational words because my niece is at university and for her last birthday I made her a gold and silver rings bracelet with three charms which had the words believe, dream and inspire just to give her a little boost when she finds it tough going. OK that’s enough waffle from me at the moment.

Personalised Sterling Silver Rings Bracelet
Wednesday, June 22nd, 2011Princess Kate Necklace
Thursday, May 5th, 2011Well what a wonderful Royal wedding we had the privilege of watching. Thought the occasion was fantastic with the large crowds that gathered up and down the wedding route. I was trying to see what jewellery was on show and I have to say there wasn’t that much and to be honest some of the guests pieces were dreadful, should have shopped with us! lol. Right now to our new product, might as well join the bandwagon and make a piece to coincide with the wedding. This is a personalised necklace for all those girls who would love to be the next princess. We are currently working on a range for this piece but in the meantime would like to see how this takes with our customers before we commit to other pieces which we are very confident in as with past history. We decided to make a simple piece to begin with which started with a sterling silver disc which measures 16mm in diameter and 1mm thick. We then etched the word princess and a picture of a crown which will be standard and then the name of your choice in this case we choose Kate for obvious reasons. The disc hangs from a beautiful bail which makes it more elegant and appealing and finally we have given the option of having an Amethyst or Rose Quartz gemstone to sit along side a luscious white pearl.
Business & Pleasure
Saturday, March 12th, 2011Back again! Two posts in one day, Not bad. I wasn’t going to blog till next week but had an email earlier tonight about an order for three gemstone and leaf cluster bracelets which arose from our little break in the countryside last week in the North Yorkshire Moors. It was Sues birthday last week so we decided to take off for a quite break and celebration with our two young boys in tow. We stayed in a log cabin at Keldy forest near a place called Pickering which took me by surprise because it was beautiful and so was the whole surrounding area, little quaint villages and stunning countryside which I didn’t think existed anymore in good old blighty. Listen to me I sound like a travel guide, anyway as usually you get talking to people in your resort and this we did. Sue took a few pieces with her but it was one piece that got some attention which was the leaf & gemstone cluster bracelet shown below. Its amazing how chatty people get when you tell them you make jewellery, So we handed out a few cards and have ended up with a few sales with a few more on the way by the sounds of it.
This is the beautiful log cabin we stayed in as you can see we had a rather early party guest.
Personalised Gold & Silver Ring Bracelet
Tuesday, October 19th, 2010Well where do I start, Its been a bit mad and scary the last 3 weeks but trying to get life back to normal as possible again after the birth of our son Euan. We had to take him into hospital when he was just 5 days old as he had a virus which caused him great pain so we had to close the shop down for the last 2 weeks and now we have reopened with loads of emails to catch up on which brings me to our new personalised gold and silver rings bracelet which we have had a lot of interest in and some kind comments and reviews. This beautiful bracelet was kindly added to a blog by Miss Frekkles who is a fantastic knitter and can be found on etsy and folksy.
White Pearl & Mixed Gemstone Cluster Bracelet
Tuesday, September 28th, 2010I love mixing all my pearls and gemstones altogether to see what I can come up with. Autumn will be upon us soon so I was looking to design a piece that fits the time of year so I ended up with this beautiful sparkling bracelet if I do say so myself.
Each pearl & gemstone has been meticulously wired to each of the links of the chain upon handmade fine silver and sterling silver head-pins and wire. The round white freshwater pearls are 5.5-6mm to give it a fantastic stylish look. The forest green mystic quartz measure 7.5 -8mm and are interspersed along the bracelet which makes it glow and also gives a beautiful contrast to the pearls. The rubillte garnet measure 4.5 – 6.5mm and are a fantastic deep red wine colour and are also interspersed along the chain. This bracelet is very eye catching with its contrasting colours without being over powering and has a warm and glowing look about it.The bracelet is fastened with a gorgeous sterling silver lobster clasp with a lovely sterling silver leaf charm. I am working on the earrings and necklace to complete this fab autumnal set.
Magical Earrings
Sunday, September 12th, 2010We decided to update one of our pieces which were the moonlight oxidised earrings. We thought we would bring abit of sparkle and brightness to this miserable summer so we have made a pair of sparkling earrings. We have kept the same design for this earrings but have changed the stone and have not oxidised them either. We changed the stone from opalite to grapefruit pink quartz and my are they really sumptuous. These earrings would be ideal for weddings either for the bride or bridesmaid in fact they would look good on anyone going to a wedding.

White Freshwater Pearl,Aquamarine and Blue Iolite Mystic Quartz Earrings, Necklace
Tuesday, July 20th, 2010Well it was nice to get some hot sunny weather back again yesterday as it allowed me to get a few photo’s of my earrings and necklace to complete my pearl and gemstone set which I am now pleased to have finished and put on our site for sale as this is a stunning piece of jewellery if i do say so myself and would grace any bride walking down the runway. I have made the necklace in a very simple way but it looks very elegant so as not to be over powering and in your face. The dangle measures about 3 inches long and consists of white freshwater pearls which are in two sizes, 3mm – 3.5mm and 5.5mm – 6mm and are gorgeous. I then added Aquamarine rondelles which are 4mm in size and interspersed amongst the pearls and then we have the stunning blue mystic Iolite quartz which measure 6.5mm – 7.5mm and absolutely sparkle. I put four blue Iolite stones on the dangle as i didn’t want it to be to top heavy and become a mess so that it just has that elegant look. It took me a while to figure out what design i wanted for the earrings as i didn’t want to put to much on them otherwise it would look a mess and ruin the whole set so i decided to go for just one blue Iolite stone which would dangle at the bottom of the chain and be the main focal point. I used the biggest stones which were 7.5mm so they would stand out which i think looked right, your eyes are drawn to the sparkle they transmit. As for the pearls i left more of a gap between them as i felt to cluster them like the bracelet and necklace would be a mistake and they would look to bulky and lose that elegant look that i was looking for. I used beautiful ornate sterling silver stud ear pieces to hang the earrings from which i think just complete these earrings.

You can see when the natural sunlight hits the jewellery how beautiful it really is.
Jewellery update
Sunday, July 18th, 2010Evening all, I see we are back to the normal British summer time with all the rain. I think I am having one of those periods in life when things continue to go wrong if that’s the right word. I have been laid up for the past week with a very sore back thanks to my little boy in which i have not been able to do any work up until yesterday when i managed to get a full day in the workshop and finish a few projects i had going which is very rare for me or Sue as we have our 2 year old son to look after and the fact that Sue is 7 months pregnant so time is a little short. Well that’s enough of the sob story and back to the jewellery, I managed to make the necklace and earrings to go with the new pearl and gemstone bracelet which is made with freshwater pearls, aquamarine rondelles and blue iolite mystic quartz and which is on our front page of the website so please check it out. I have no photo’s to show you I am sorry to say but with all the bad weather and my bad back i haven’t been able to get outside which is how i like to take my pictures if possible as jewellery looks so much better in natural sunlight but even that doesn’t do the gemstone jewellery justice. I also finished off one of my wedding/bridal necklace and bracelet combo’s again i have no photo’s but hope to show them tomorrow. I have also nearly finished my necklace and earrings to go with my fairy-dust bracelet which is made with rose quartz onion briolettes, pink mystic topaz and white freshwater pearls but i must have been having another off day as i ordered the wrong size rose quartz which is what i have been waiting on and because i buy most of my luxury gemstones abroad it takes time to see if i can get them and then get them shipped. We have been working on a new personalised bracelet which should be ready for photo’s sometime this week and hopefully we will have it for sale on the website as well as i think its a lovely piece and i cannot wait to get it on. Its pretty hard to write about jewellery when you do not have the photo’s to show people as your describing it so i will finish there for tonight and hopefully be back blogging tomorrow with some pics, But i will leave you with a few of our holiday pics so i bid you bonne nuit.

White Pearl & Gemstone Bracelet
Sunday, July 4th, 2010Aah Sunday night and have managed to get a few minutes to write some words of wisdom i hope. Since we got back from Holiday it has been chaos with orders and getting back into work mode which isn’t easy for me at the best of times as Sue keeps pulling me up about all the tea breaks i have, I keep telling her that my genius comes from my thinking time. At the moment i have about ten projects going on at the moment which probably isn’t the best way to work but it suits me, and the one I am going to blog about tonight is my new white pearl cluster bracelet. I actually got the idea for this bracelet from our holiday destination which was Brittany which is in France for those of you who would not no that. I had been looking at photo’s with beautiful soft sandy beaches with water crashing off the rocks which makes that white foam and is surrounded by patches of lovely clear blue/green water and then the darker blue water further out and having been there its even better first hand. I used two different sizes of AA white freshwater round pearls, The sizes of these pearls are 3-3.5 mm for the small ones and 5.5-6mm for the bigger ones which give it a fantastic style. I then added some 4mm AA aquamarine faceted rondelles which i interspersed along the bracelet which just made the bracelet glow and give it beautiful contrast to the pearls. I do like to add contrasting colours to my pieces but you have do it in the right way or it just looks a mess so for my second gemstone i used AAA blue Iolite Mystic quartz which were 6.5-7.5mm which to me just made the bracelet complete. I did add one last item to the bracelet which was a sterling silver Fleur de Lys charm which i thought was appropriate in more ways than one. This bracelet looks very suttle but has that eye catching look which i think is a must for pieces like this. I am working on the matching necklace and earrings for this bracelet so it will be a lovely set but that’s for another time and blog so i bid you bonne nuit
